Kicking off Hubbl Season 6!

Welcome, Blood Bowl fans, to the sixth season of the Humberside Blood Bowl League, as we follow the fledgling teams through their heroic displays of athletic prowess, sportsmanship, corruption, and brutal violence!

Kicking off this weekend, the Iron Gorge Manglerz face Da Beaten Bruiserz, a team of Black Orks who also make their debut this year!

Last season saw a failure of apocalyptic proportions, as coach Squigthrower guided the Ostermark Hurricanes to only one win and one draw.

Having narrowly escaped a 3-day siege of his office at the Hurricane's stadium, he spent the majority of the summer break in the picturesque Iron Gorge where, as our sources tell us, he signed a season-long deal with an up-and-coming team.

Squigthrower guided the 'Manglerz' through a decent performance at the annual Thrudball tournament in August last year, where he solidified his place within the team, winning more games on day 2 of the event than he did all season, with the Hurricanes.

We spoke with the teams starting Big 'Un, Shakaar Gutwrencha who said:

" 'es alright, that humie fella. Small and pathetic like, but 'e knows 'is way 'round a ball and 'e likes a good stompin' ".

...and a stompin' they deliver as the team's fondness of mindless brutality is known to overshadow their love of the game. Local fans revealed the Manglerz often forget about the ball altogether, in favor of killing as many of their opponents as possible.

"Listen, if your arms are broken, you can't pick up the ball."

"I'm not one to bad mouth a team, but those lads back in Ostermark really can't tell a squig's ******* from its mouth, and trust me - I can! I'm confident that with the punch these boys can deliver we can aim for at least a top 3 finish, and looking back at last season, that's a win for me".

Bold prediction from the coach, but in this game, there is only one thing certain: Nuffle is as fickle as he is generous.
