As we move into the penultimate round, the race for the play-off spots tightens!
ROUND RESULTS

DIVISION 1

Starting in Division 1, the top 4 playoff contenders haven't traded places. A Draw from the Lothern Lions secured their No. 2 position, safely protected by Vulchaz' loss at the hands of the Eagles.
However, no. 6 and 7 spots were traded as Prime Wags secured a 2-0 W against the Grasslickers.
The Wags' round 7 fixture against the bumped team, the Boneyard Bruisers, will be one to watch.
DIVISION 2

This is the division to watch out for as change appears to be the only constant here. We'll start with Big Red's Raiders moving into 2nd place, now comfortably within the playoff bracket. (We're sure the Runty Mud Cakes won't be pleased and may be preparing a few nasty surprises for the Raiders in their rd. 7 game).
The Evil Gitz suffer a significant setback, primarily due to the loss against the Stir River Fly Boys falling from 3rd in the division to right outside of the play-off bracket as the Fly Boyz secure spot no. 4.
With a mid-field so tightly packed and separated by only a handful of points the race is on for the coveted spot in the playoffs.

Looking at the big picture, Blood Sweat and Beers pipped the Eathen Eagles to the overall no. 1 spot after a productive venture against the Mudcakes during the first week of the round.
Despite the Eagles' perfect record, it goes to show that those bonus points can, and do, come in handy indeed - it's a good job the teams are in separate divisions or the rivalry may have gotten out of hand on and off the pitch as the fans of both teams will be eyeing a strong performance in the playoffs.
Big Red's Raiders are also up by 5 places, getting into the top 3 despite the heavy loss of their minotaur a couple of rounds back.
Speaking of losses we can now confirm the reports that Blood Sweat and Beers sustained two casualties (an Ulfwerner and a Valkyrie) in their last game. The speculation was that, at the time of the game, the players were carted off critically injured but the statement from the team representative confirmed there was nothing their physicians could do, adding to the Mud Cakes' casualty tally and bringing them one step closer to one of the league's top awards.
However, this should not prove to be a problem, as the team's sizeable coffers ought to facilitate an immediate replacement for the lost positionals.
Eathen Eagles' Aenur Greenbough has also reportedly been drafted by the Feyfire Warriors marking a second consecutive draft from the team. There's no question the Eagles can produce talent worthy of the big leagues, but this double-edged sword may prove fatal as the team may struggle to perform in the crucial playoff games with reduced positional numbers. The statement from the team's coach confirmed that, at present, they are in no position to replace Greenbough and will be starting their next fixture against the Prime Wags with a Blitzer down.
